Our Kovai Nadar Sangam is a community institution run collectively in the great city of Coimbatore — the Manchester of the South, a city that stands comparison with those of the West — by families who came here from many different districts of Tamil Nadu.
Our history
The Sangam was registered on 27 April 1973 and began its work on 15 June 1974. Since then it has grown into a registered trust with its own community hall and kalyana mandapam, the Sangamam Matriculation School, a matrimony service, a scholarship fund and welfare programs — every one of them built and maintained by the member families themselves.
We welcome Nadar families across Coimbatore. Our work spans matrimony, our Sangamam Matriculation School, health camps, business networking and emergency welfare. Every initiative is funded by member contributions and run by volunteer office bearers elected every three years.
